Holi

“Festival of colours HOLI is celebrated to spread love and affection in the society-Dr. S. Farooq”.

DAV (PG) College Alumni Association celebrated Holi today at Tasmia Academy Dehradun.

On the occasion children of various senior school students took part in an Essay competition on “What I expect from Government”. The following students were declared best in inoculation.

Brig. Behl, Chief Guest told the children as to why Holi is celebrated in India.

Dr. S. Farooq Patron of the association in his speech said that HOLI is a message of one God by Parhlad & his father Haran Kashyap & same as Prophet Abraham did against the belief of his father it unites people and people to forget their grievances and shine colours and no difference of colour, caste, or status is left. A drawing competition was also had of junior class students on “Holi Aaye Ray”.

Earlier President, R. K. Bakhshi welcomed all participants and students on the occasion and wished them a Happly Holi. Dr. Himmat Singh, Secretary General of the Association conducted the programme successfully. Other prominent Members present on the occasion Dr. Aditya Arya, Avi Nanda, S. K. Bhargava, D. S. Mann V.P, Daljeet Kaur, Mrs Mustafa, School Teachers, Shama, Wadhwa, Mufti Wasiullah and many others.
